Concerts for pediatric patients

It has been for the third time, when Jezci had  the opportunity to visit the traditional event called Indian summer and play famous fairy-tale melodies for pediatric patient.

This event is organized by  Klub interaktivniho domu o.p.s. whose main aim is to create an interactive home- temporary home for sick children and their parents as well as programs supporting psychosocial care and play therapy. Indian summer event takes places in the University Hospital in Motol in Prague during the entire month of June.

Who would you say enjoyed the event most? You wouldn’t guess it. Green iguana!  Basking on the shoulder of his owner and letting children rub his back (You will see in gallery)!

Concert for eldery patients

Jezci reprised performance of Jezek’s café. Patients od Centre of Postacute Care had the opportunity to listen again to known and unknown songs by Jaroslav Jezek and enjoy playful humour of J.Voskovec and J. Werich in its original or modified form. You would be surprised - they are still up to date!

Concerts for patient of psychiatic wards

During the Easter holidays we set out in large numbers to sing in the Church of st. Wenceslav in the Psychiatric hospital of Bohnice in Prague.  It was our second concert called "Temple full of flowers" for the patients from the psychiatric hospital as well as for the public.

In the sacred atmosphere of the Chrurch of st. Wenceslav, we sang our playlist witch consisted mainly of choral music (May it Be, Moon River, Danny Boy), folk songs and soundtracks.

Patients mainly from the addiction pavilions did not leave us in doubt that we came in vain.

We were impressed by their attention and spontaneity, when some songs did not let them sit and they gave us standing ovation.

Concert for Hospice Chrudim

During our traditional spring workshop in Kamenicky, the concert for Hospice Chrudim was prepared. Popular tunes from past concerts were used and completed with new and more demanding choral pieces.

Despite the fact that we play at Hospice Chrudim every year, each concert is for us extraordinary and unique. We believe that hospice patients share the same feelings and our concerts enable them to stop for a while, forget about their illness and just sing or listen to our melodies.

Czech Christmas Mass for Hospice Chrudim and Center of Postacute Care

We were pleased to perform and play Ryba’s Czech Christmas Mass at Center of Postacute Care in Motol and at Hospice Chrudim several days before Christmas. It were a festive concerts where we were singing Czech Christmas Mass by J.J Ryba.

Traditional Christmas piece was given in our non-traditional rendition with bass guitar. It seemed to please our lovely audience which did not hesitate and joined us with singing.
